Fem Fel might look like your everyday rapper but he's a certified roadside lyricist, stepping up to tell his story of life before and after prison in England’s hectic capital.
Ever since Giggs came on the scene, the spotlight around emerging UK rappers has set ablaze. Inspired by earlier UK hip-hop veterans Rodney P, Skinnyman and Klashnekoff, Fem Fel began listening to The Realness by Cormega – which encouraged him to pick up a pen and dabble in the written rap word. Now he's stepping to the table with confident, personal tales of hustling, love and relationships. From the relatable dramas of 'Hero' to the trap-happy 'Put It In A Bag', his emotional edge and genuine interest in acoustic sessions pulls him apart from the rest.
With every aspiring rap star super-gluing themselves to a gangster image, in many ways, this south London born artist is trying to detach himself from the stereotype. His casual and laid-back flow, switching up on every tempo, allows Fem Fel’s content to be honest and true. Working alongside his favourite producer, Dan Dare (of The Elite) – who’s in sync chemistry with Fem inspired some of the best songs on his soon to be released album – Eyes Closed.
